Reminder: Don't Text and Drive UPDATE

Please don't text or use your phone while you are driving.....it just takes a second for something tragic to occur.

Our hearts go out to the Murray family with the tragic loss of their little girl, Calli.

I wanted you to know that the Fabulous Women are already organizing a gathering to support Ling Murray’s Family. I have a personal connection to the family. Ling played volleyball on the Applebee’s and Mr. Pickle’s team. Ling and her daughter, Calli, were the pedestrians that were hit in a crosswalk this past month in
Rohnert Park. Ling is still hospitalized and unfortunately, Calli lost her life. She would have turned three on Christmas. This accident occurred because the driver was distracted with her phone.

There’s an opportunity to support the Murray Family and raise awareness about the dangers of using the phone and texting while driving. There’s a saying that feels appropriate, “No one should die in vain.” This tragedy should make you pause. It gives voice to a little girl that you would not have otherwise met. I know that this tragedy has changed my behavior in the car. Please take a moment to ask yourself about your phone use while driving. Check out the attached link to pledge your commitment to the “No Phone Zone.”
