Thank you again for all of the positive energy and support that went into the "Calli Murray Event" I thought it was the best representation of community spirit that I've ever seen! The fact that so many people in the community came together to honor Calli and support Ling and Jeff on was truly fabulous! Believe it when I say that the community was generous! Donations are still trickling in......I would say that with the help of "Ani Larson's Nice to be Nice Club," we've raised over $25,000. Most importantly, we have sent the message that distracted driving can be fatal. When I see my "Calli Decal" or my "Purple Calli Thumb Band," I'm reminded of her and the beautiful tribute on February 27th. I also realize how important it is to be responsible when I'm behind the wheel. I'll also never forget the moment that Ling stood up and showed the world how strong she really is. Watching Jeff and Ling embrace the crowd was so touching. I appreciate their courage and grace during this difficult time. They are beautiful people!
Thank you to all of the amazing contributors for the day: Sally Tomatoes, Sonoma Mountain Village, Wonder Bread 5, Pasta King, Metro PC, Jubilee, Jumps, Head Gear of Petaluma, Budderball the Clown, Wine Country Parties, Redwood Empire Refuse and Recycling, Expedition Island, Ace Printing,Pure Luxury, DK Landscaping, All American Printing, Friedmans', and Staples.....just to name a few!
I would also like to thank all of the local merchants that offered generous items for the raffle and the silent auction. Special hugs to all of the children in the "Nice to Nice Club" that made art pieces to sell and ran an amazing bake sale. There were over 100 volunteers at this event.....they came in droves. It was an amazing display of love and community kindness! I can't thank you enough for helping us pull off an incredible event. Finally, thank you for bringing all of the incredible food dishes and desserts. It made our event delicious on every level!
